New regulations of the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights (amended)

On April 26, 2023, the National Assembly promulgated the Law on Protection of Consumers Rights 2023 (LPCR 2023) replacing LPCR 2010. LPCR 2023 has addressed the limitations and shortcomings of the LPCR 2010 while also amending and supplementing numerous new provisions to enhance the quality of consumer rights protection in various transactions. LPCR 2023 has come into effect since July 01, 2024.

Outstanding points of Decree 65/2023/ND-CP on procedures for establishment of industrial property rights

On August 23, 2023, the Government promulgated Decree 65/2023/ND-CP providing details for several provisions and measures for implementation of the Law on Intellectual Property on industrial property, protection of industrial property rights, rights to plant varieties, and state management of intellectual property. This Decree takes effect from the date of signing.

New regulations on determination of origin of imports and exports
