In order to amend and supplement a number of articles of Decree 168/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 of the Government on enterprise registration, the Government has issued Decree 296/2026/ND-CP (Decree 296). Decree 296 takes effect from July 23, 2026 and the article provide some notable contents of Decree 296.
On June 30, 2025, the Government promulgated Decree 168/2025/ND-CP on enterprise registration, which officially takes effect from July 1, 2025 and replaces Decree 01/2021/ND-CP. The new provisions of Decree 168 are developed to further simplify administrative procedures in enterprise registration, improve transparency in Viet Nam’s business environment, attract investment, and promote the development of the private sector.
According to the revised Law on Enterprises 2025, effective from July 1, 2025, most enterprises, including limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, partnerships, etc., will be required to identify, declare, and notify information about their beneficial owners to the business registration authority.
