On June 16, 2022, the National Assembly promulgated the Law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Intellectual Property. This Law takes effect from January 1, 2023 with some typical contents as follows:
(i) New regulations on work naming rights;
(ii) Some exceptions without infringement of copyrights;
(iii) Supplementation of intermediary service providers’ liabilities for copyright and related rights; and
(iv) Supplementation of a separate provision on the opposition procedures against industrial property registration applications.
