On July 7, 2021, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 06/2021/TT-BLDTBXH amending Circular 59/2015/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the implementation of some articles of the Social Insurance Law on compulsory social insurance. Some outstanding contents related to employees’ rights include:
(i) Supplementing incomes that are not subject to compulsory social insurance contributions;
(ii) Providing the regulations on time calculation in the case where an annual leave coincides with mater-nity leave;
(iii) Stipulating clearly male employees’ receipt of one-time allowance upon childbirth in accordance with Article 38 of the Social Insurance Law;
(iv) Stipulating the level of sickness benefits when taking leave in incomplete months.
