Appointment and The Vietnamese Judiciary: The Politics of Appointment and Promotion
The study reviews the historical development of Vietnam’s court system to examine the origins of institutional mechanisms for the selection, appointment, rotation, reward, and discipline of judges, as prescribed under the Law on the Organization of the People’s Courts of 1992 and 2002, as well as the Ordinance on Judges and People’s Jurors during the same period.
