Legal study on International experiences to improve the efficiency of environment-related tort damage dispute resolution

This Study is to enhance the efficiency of environmental-related tort damage dispute resolution in Viet Nam by learning from international law and other countries’ experience, thereby enhancing the sustainability of environmental justice efforts within the country.

The Manual on Evaluation of Policy Impact Assessment Reports

In order to support the evaluation of the PIA Report, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has conducted The Manual on Evaluation of Policy Impact Assessment Reports, with the support of the ASEAN Economic Reform programme of Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) represented by the British Embassy; and Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The research was prepared based on the method of document research of Viet Nam and some documents of the United Nations and other countries. 05 countries were selected for the research, including: Finland, Germany, Sweden, South Korea and Taiwan, based on the characteristics of state structure, COVID-19 pandemic fighting measures, success in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, and other characteristics of the political system, geographical location.

Thematic Report on Facilitation of Non-cash Payment to Support the Increase of DBI and Business Environment Improvement

In Viet Nam, the current legal and policy frameworks related to non-cash payment are still in the stage of experimenting and completing. The researches on good practices of some countries regarding non-cash payment applications in (i) Starting a business, (ii) Dealing with construction permits, (iii) Getting electricity, (iv) Registering property, (v) Paying taxes, and (vi) Enforcing contracts show that reforms on non-cash payment applications are often associated with reforms on electronification of administrative procedures in general.

The Report on Orientation of Improving Codes of Ethics and Conduct for Professionals in the Justice System to Meet the Requirements of Judicial Reform in Viet Nam was produced to support the CCIA in advising the implementation of the Judicial Reform Strategy (Resolution 49 and Conclusion 84), providing recommendations for the efficient development, improvement and implementation of codes of ethnic and conducts (CoEC) for professionals in the justice system to meet requirements of judicial reform in Viet Nam.

The Study is aiming to analyze the legal framework and good practices in implementing judicial administrative works of courts, thus presenting recommendations to reform the judicial administrative works of courts in accordance with Judicial Reform goals.

The Aspiration of Enterprises Towards Courts’ Activities in Enforcing Contracts

The report applies the methodology of the World Bank’s Doing Business report, analyzing court operations from the perspective of businesses in relation to contract enforcement. It identifies several shortcomings that need to be addressed in order to make court operations more effective and business-friendly, thereby contributing to Viet Nam’s economic development.
